Kirkland to Screen First Spanish-Language Movie in Summer Series

🔊 Listen · narrated by Aiden

The City of Kirkland will screen Disney-Pixar’s Coco (en Español) as the first Spanish-language film in its Outdoor Summer Movie series on Saturday, Sept. 5, 2026, at Juanita Beach Park. This event marks a new addition to the series' lineup, which previously featured English-language films.

The free event includes kid-friendly crafts starting at 5 p.m., food from local vendors, and the movie beginning at 6 p.m. on the park's north side. Parks and Community Services Director Lynn Zwaagstra noted the film was added to provide "another way for families and neighbors to enjoy Juanita Beach Park together."

No registration is required, and attendees are encouraged to bring blankets or low-back chairs. More details are available at kirklandwa.gov/communitybuildingevents or by calling 425-587-3336.
