Coho salmon fishing in Lake Washington is closed starting Sept. 16 due to low fish returns, according to the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife. The closure affects recreational fishing for coho salmon in the lake, with no specified end date. Residents should check for updates from the state agency before planning fishing trips. The closure is part of standard management practices to protect declining salmon populations, though the exact cause of the low returns was not detailed in the source.
