The City of Kirkland will host National Night Out on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, inviting community members to gather with neighbors for an evening of connection and conversation. The event aims to strengthen neighborhood relationships and build positive connections between residents and local first responders.
Residents can request visits from Kirkland Police, Fire, crisis responders, and City Councilmembers by July 20, with visits scheduled between 6-9 p.m. Block party permits are waived for the event, but applications must be submitted by July 20, at least 10 business days prior. Only street residents may apply for street closures.
Councilmember John Tymczyszyn praised the event, stating it brings neighbors together and builds the kind of community connections that makes Kirkland special. The City encourages participation through its National Night Out webpage, where residents can find details and submit requests.
