Redmond Teens, Community to Shape New Teen Center

πŸ”Š Listen Β· narrated by Aiden

Redmond City Council is inviting teens aged 12-18 and the broader community to provide input on the design of a new teen center through three upcoming drop-in sessions. The sessions, scheduled for Sept. 30, Oct. 1, and Oct. 8 at various city locations, will allow participants to share ideas without providing personal information. The city plans to use feedback from these sessions to inform the selection of a design-build team for the project, which is currently under review.

The engagement follows previous community input gathered through the 2025 Teen Services Engagement process and other focus groups involving over 300 participants. The city's design-build process for the center, approved by the state in July 2026, will be informed by these sessions, with feedback to be shared directly with the selected design-build team. Additional community engagement activities will be scheduled once the team is chosen.
