Sound Transit Adjusts Fall 2026 Express Bus Routes

Sound Transit is implementing service changes to ST Express routes effective August 29-31, 2026. Routes 515, 550, 554, 570, 580, and 586 will be eliminated. New overnight service begins on routes 547 (Redmond-Downtown Seattle) and 597 (Lakewood-Downtown Seattle). Route 570 will be replaced by Pierce Transit’s Route 597.

The changes include adding stops on W Casino Rd for Route 513, shortening Route 522 to Shoreline South with 15-minute headways, and adding stops in Issaquah for Route 556. Route 574 will replace Lakewood Transit Center with Lakewood Station. No changes are planned for Link light rail, Sounder trains, or certain ST Express routes.
